Circulation ist das Debut-Album des in Berlin lebenden Ausnahme-Pianisten Felix Roßkopf. Aufgenommen live im Kölner LOFT, dokumentiert es einen einzigartigen Abend aus freien Improvisationen und originalen Stücken. Das Thema der Kreisbewegung zieht sich dabei als roter Faden durch die unvorhersehbare Gestalt des Konzerts.

Felix Roßkopf, geboren in Darmstadt, begann mit fünf Jahren das Klavierspiel und machte als Jugendlicher seine ersten Erfahrungen mit Jazz in der Big Band seiner Schule. Seine ersten Solokonzerte gab er im Alter von 16 Jahren. Seit 2010 wohnt Felix in Berlin, wo er am Jazzinstitut Berlin studierte.

In seinen Auftritten begeistert er durch eine unerschöpfliche Quelle an kreativen Ideen am Klavier. Sein Publikum führt er dabei durch einzigartige Konzerte, die er aus freien Improvisationen und eigenen Stücken aufbaut. Die Musik führt durch eine Vielfalt an Emotionen und über die Klangwelten des Jazz hinaus. Mit seiner feinfühligen Spielweise an den Tasten und einem ausgeprägten Sinn für Rhythmik präsentiert sich die Musik ausdrucksstark und klar, nicht zuletzt aufgrund seiner Wurzeln in der klassischen Musik. Trotz der Vielschichtigkeit bleibt seine Musik für das Publikum zugänglich und mitreißend.

Felix Roßkopf, born in Darmstadt, started playing the piano at the age of five and had his first experiences with jazz as a teenager in the big band of his school. He gave his first solo concerts at the age of 16. Since 2010, Felix has been living in Berlin, where he studied at the Jazzinstitut Berlin.

In his performances he inspires with an inexhaustible source of creative ideas on the piano. He leads his audience through unique concerts, which he builds up from free improvisations and his own pieces. The music leads through a variety of emotions and beyond the sound worlds of jazz. With his sensitive playing on the keys and a strong sense of rhythm, the music presents itself expressively and clearly, not least because of his roots in classical music. Despite the complexity, his music remains accessible and rousing for the audience.
